Welcome to my blog, dear friends! Nearly 3 months has passed since the beginning of our house decoration and concurrent participating in this wonderful competition hosted by Jiaboo. The house decoration and competition make a hole, and there is no doubt that in the future when I recall the period of my first house decoration, this competition will be placed in a key position deep in my memory. From this competition, not only have I learned some knowledge about house decoration, but also I made so many new friends and we communicate our experiences in order to do the work more efficiently and more economically. Here, I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to Jiaboo, to friends who help us and vote for us.
Now this competition will draw an end at the end of this week, I feel so reluctant to see this since I have been used to the life that working on-site in the daytime and besides laptop in the evening to update my diaries and share the photos taken on-site. But this is truth, just like everything in the world has an end, no matter good or bad. It is really a great honor for me to become one of the 15 houses who have the opportunities to win the final prizes, since I have little experiences although I have tried my best to make my house perfect. My peers show me so much decoration style and so many lovely houses and I really learned a great deal from them. Thanks.Now I would like to emphasize my house style-- Simplicity, Practicality, Modernness. This is a house less than 50 square meters, but my bf and I (maybe plus a baby ) will live here for several years. So we have to make it practical, we need more spaces—living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and porch; we need bed, big wardrobe, convertible sofa bed, dining table, writing table and electrical appliances. So we build a flash wall to make a separate living room; in order to make the living room brighter, we place a big glass on the wall. For the purpose of saving space, bedroom and kitchen share a double-acting-door, huge wardrobe also uses this kind of door. From the angle of practicality, I feel confident that I have made it to the perfect; this is the nature of house, especially for small ones just like ours, since houses are primarily used to live in, not for seeing by others. The above-mentioned are all satisfied by my house. I don’t want to do much artificial decoration for those kinds of ornamental materials will make my house look small and add up to my economical burden. What’s more, “Simple is the best” is already accepted by most people. Last, technical progress has brought us so many modern factors for family decoration. Young people should live in such houses to enjoy the modernized civilization. Besides, modern style could give me motion to develop my career in this competitive city. To sum up, simplicity, practicality and modernness is a whole for our house decoration; it is no doubt a good choice for a small house like ours. At the end, I want to say “thank you” to Jiaboo.
